Results of the AMC 10B & 12B 2008

Dear Participants,

The results of the AMC 10B & 12B contest are included in the links below. This time, we have included every individual results in the list below. We hope that no matter what your results are, you will be able to learn from the experience of participating in the AMC contest. I remember someone once said that "Your level of participation determines your success." Keep up the momentum and continue to gain the experience of taking part in maths competitions, taking the opportunity to learn more advanced levels of maths during the preparation phase.

Here are the 2008 results for the Open Section. As for the school section, all results have already been returned to the school. To your continued success...

A note for students intending to include the AMC 10 & 12B results in your DSA application.
  1. If you are intending to include your results in the DSA application, please quote the comeptition as "American Mathematics Contest 10B or 12B. depending on the contest you have written. The organiser of the contest is : Mathematical Association of America. Administrator for Singapore" Maths Oasis Pte Ltd.
  2. If marks are required, please check your results against the list above.

American Mathematics Contest 8 Award Key

Dear all,

Due to the overwhelming interest amongst participants for the explanation of the certification, we have listed down the explanation in full for your perusal.

AMC 8 Intramural Awards
A Certificate of Distinction
is given to students who receive a perfect score.
An AMC 8 Winner Pin is given to the student(s) in each school with the highest score.
The top three students for each school section will receive respectively a gold, silver, or bronze Certificate for Outstanding Achievement.
An AMC 8 Honor Roll Certificate is given to all high scoring students.
An AMC 8 Merit Certificate is given to high scoring students who are in 6th grade or below.

    School Winners and Open Section
    We send our congratulations to all contestants for their performance on the contest and hope to meet you again when you register for the 2006 AMC 8 which will be held on

    14 November 2006, Tuesday.
    Number of awards given in 2005
    1. Section awards consist of Gold, Silver & Bronze. There is a minimum of 10 students per section
    2. National awards consist of Distinction, Honor Roll and Merit Roll.
    • Distinction is awarded to students who scored 21 and above out of a possible score of 25.
    • Honor Roll is awarded to students who scored 17 and above out of a possible score of 25.
    • Merit Roll is awarded to students in Grade 6 and below who scored 15 and above out of a possible score of 25.
